About Us

Windswept Acres was founded in 1995 in the hills of the Oley Valley at the home of the Gilbert family. The original Windswept Acres was a family stable on five acres where daughters Jennifer and Jamie took care of the family's four horses while competing successfully as members of Berks Pony Club and individually in dressage, eventing, jumpers, polocrosse and mounted games. In 2005, upon graduating from West Chester University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physcial Education, Jamie began a lesson and leasing program at the farm and neighboring facilities.

In 2008, Jamie and her husband Joe Faller purchased the facility on Stonetown Rd. in Exeter Township in order to expand their dream of providing quality boarding, training, leasing and lessons to the local equestrian community. The farm, which opened as Windswept Acres at Stonetown in April 2008, is a family venture with involvement from Joe's parents, Gene and Cathy Faller; Jamie's parents, Jim and Cyndi Gilbert; Jamie's sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Matt Goss; Joe's brothers Jonathan and Josh Faller; Jonathan's fiance Laura Williams; Jamie's grandmother Anna Gilbert and Joe's uncle, aunt and little cousin.

Maintenance and Grounds Crew
When you visit Windswept Acres, you can't help but notice the beauty and impeccable upkeep of the grounds. That is all thanks to a small group of volunteers- Joe Faller, Jim Gilbert, Matt Goss, and Jonathan Faller. You can find these four cutting grass, dragging the ring, breaking new ground for riding trails, and keeping the tractors, four wheelers and other equipment functioning and running smoothly. These individuals donate their time, energy, and other resources to the farm, and they don't even ride!
